HEALTH COALITION CALLS FOR MORATORIUM

The Windsor-Essex Health Coalition has teamed up with the Ontario Health Coalition to call for a moratorium on hospital cuts and closures throughout the province.

Natalie Mehra, Director of the Ontario Health Coalition, spoke at a press conference outside Leamington District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, expressing the coalition's displeasure at the cuts and the province's lack of action on the subject.

"We understood that it would be an independent third-party panel that would come into the communities and talk to the people, but that hasn't happened," sadi Mehra.
